Updates

It’s been so long since my last update. I apologize for it because I was super busy last week.

Currently, I am preparing the layout of blog. Since I’ve decided to create a blog, I’m going to write in my style. So I went to a photo shoot to customize my layout. It’s my first time ever going for a studio shoot. Totally have no idea how to work on the different poses but the photographer was a nice lady, she taught me a lot and the photos she took were perfect!

Anyways, I’m still struggling to lose weight for my cosplay photo shoot, eating a balance diet and making sure that I am exercising for at least 30 mins daily. I’ve also included JW Garcinia Cambogia(HCA) into my diet. It basically works as an agent to block fat and reduce cravings. As far as I’ve tried it, it did not really work to reduce the fats in my body but it did helps to control my craving for after meal snacks. I usually drink it 30 mins before lunch and dinner, this way it helps to reduce my food intake which means lesser consumption.

Breakfast: A bowl of cornflakes serve with low fat milk and a glass of plain water

Lunch: Steamed chicken breast (not marinated) or Grilled Saba fish with a small portion of rice

Tea Break: A small apple or a small bunch of grapes

Dinner: 1/3 bowl of rice, stir-fry vegetables, eggs and a bowl of soup.

I’m trying not to touch chocolates, sweet or even biscuit and did some little changes to my lifestyle.

Ø  Take the stairs instead of the escalator

Ø   Substitute frizzy drink with green tea or plain water

Ø  Do some stretching before heading to bed

The blogger upload some magazine scans featuring popteen models weight loss exercise.

That's it for today. Till next time~

Crazy Diet

Okay, I keep telling myself this, "I gonna go on a diet after this piece of chocolate". Seems like after a few days and I'm back to square one.

I'm a sucker for sweet treats. Especially chocolate, totally hard to resist.

Anyone out there love this too? Kinder Surprise!

Anyway, I can afford to slack anymore, my Asuna costume just arrived and  I have to work hard to get rid of those flabby arms before my photoshoot and AFA!

Gonna give this a shot!

I've been also trying the Korea LUS Extra V-Line Lift Up Mask! Bought it from sasa last Friday.

It's suppose to help burn the stubborn fats around your face and gives you a V shape face result!

Apparently it did work after the first try, still going to continue using and see the result.

That's it for today. Till next time~

Finally 21! My 21st Birthday Celebration @ MBS

I'M FINALLY 21! Mixed feelings; sort of like you are finally an adult yet somehow wanting to remain as a teenager. Contradicting much, I know.

Anyways, I celebrated my 21st birthday at Marina Bay Sands. I wanted something different; unlike the usual fanfare with chalets and parties. A small celebration with my close friends and relatives.

A few weeks back, I was debating to get the club room or the grand club room. It was really difficult to do the research since there was no clear picture on the internet showing the approximate size and layout of the room.

In the end, I figured that I would just get a suite! Save me all the trouble of having to worry if the room would be able to accommodate 30 guests. The pricing for the room jumped quite a bit too, almost doubling the price of the great club room. It was worth it, nevertheless.

On that day, my cousins checked into the hotel via the VIP lounge together with my bf at about 1pm, instead of the advised timing of 3pm (Yes, we're very kiasu XD). However, this time the checking-in didn't run as smoothly, they had to wait till 3pm before the hotel was able to offer us the room. So they ended up lingering about the hotel tower while waiting for the room, a little like lost vagrants.

If you were wondering where was I, I headed down to collect the Japanese Sponge Cake from Ms Chitose-san. I ordered about 200 pieces from her and she really kind to give me a complementary box of cheese and custard sponge cake each for my birthday. I swear she makes the best sponge cake which will make you go back for more! She will be at Parkway Parade next week so do check out her store.

After collecting the sponge cakes, I joined my cousins and bf at the hotel and we got our rooms at exactly 3pm. MBS is super efficient when it comes to checking-in.

The suite I booked was the 'Orchid suite', enough to hold all my guests.
Didn't manage to take picture of the room >.<

I didn't have much time to spend in the room after checking-in, I got out with my bf to pump up the helium balloons but returned back after we were not able find any shop at Marina Square that does it. In the end, the balloons were filled up using co2 instead.

When I got back, the room was already decorated with birthday signs and balloons!

It turns out that they have been planning it way before to surprise me. The sign board is 100% handmade!

Soon after, my family and relatives arrived with all the food and drinks. Thankfully, the dining table was big enough for us to place them on.

Balloons:

Cupcakes Balloons! It comes in 9 different colours - Red, Yellow, Orange, Pink, Blue, Rose, Green, Berry, Purple!

The colours totally fits the rainbow theme. And in case you are wondering, the balloons were able to last for more than 8 hours and still look as good as new. As least after some putting up the balloons, the balcony looks so much nicer and less dull.

As for the foil balloons, you can have it inflated 1 day perior to the event. On the day of the celebration, my auntie was helping me to carry the balloons, and guess what - She had a group of tourist coming up to her and say "HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY!".

Anyway, the picture of me holding the foils balloons were taken 2 days after they were inflated. It is still as sturdy as the day I bought.

If you are planning on any events, I recommend you include them in the party. It will definately light up the venue. HAPPY MOOD EVERYWHERE!

I found a place where they sells both types of balloons. You can visit their Facebook Page here:

I am very thankful to my awesome family members, the celebration would not have happened without them.

This is the most wonderful birthday celebration I ever had in my life. I'm grateful for all the people who love me.

A special thanks to my cousin Samantha, Amanda and my sister Calista. Not forget the best bf~
Thank you for helping me to plan this celebration. I appreciate it a lot.

YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!

Cosplaying

Was out to run some errand for my birthday just now and I happened to see some cosplayers at the interchange.

To me, appearing in costume would always attract attention of many and result certain people condemning.

You may think, "why don't you ignore them?" or "why get so affected when you know this kind of hobby is bound to get criticism?"

Yes, ignoring them is one thing but can you imagine getting stares or even sometime get jeered at? It is definitely not something you can just simply ignore. Does going into cosplay means that as cosplayers we deserve to be laughed at?

We are not entertainers neither are we trying to be Japanese. We are doing this because we love Anime and we love Japanese sub-culture. Everybody has their own interests, it's just a matter if it is widely accepted by the community or not.

Once at a cosplay convention, I overheard a group of boys saying "eh! just go take pictures with them la, see they like so desperate to get photographed, we should help them!" and also "These female cosplayers are like whore, such a disgrace to human race".

You see, this is the kind of words I usually heard when I attend a cosplay event. Some people are not even scare to let you know that they are super disgusted by people cosplaying and would go close to you and do weird gesture at you.

Anyways, I'm not really bothered by them because since the start, I already know that cosplaying is a hobby that attracts lots of attention, both good and bad. So I live on with it~

It's not easy to be a cosplayer. For most people, their parents usually object their children cosplaying. Some reason being, it is an expensive hobby or they just simply do not like their children hanging out with a bunch of J-culture obsessed people. Luckily for me, my parents did not disagree and even offer to drive me to the different conventions I attend.

As the cosplay circle in Singapore began to grow, there are more and more people picking up cosplaying. This means that there will be a number of people who participate in the events without doing proper research and ended being bombarded on the internet. For me, I try to make my cosplay as accurate as possible. It won't be 100% perfect because some details are too difficult to achieve or may take a plastic surgery to look exactly like the character. So I do ample research and make sure that I'm not ruining the character I'm cosplaying. Like for example, the miku cosplay I did for AFA last year. I had a very hard time looking for the bracelet that she wore and have been searching for 2 whole weeks, sweeping through malls and online shops but I can't find any that is even similar to what it looks like. In the end, I have to DIY it myself. It's a lot of hard work but when you get praises from photographer and people who attends the convention, all this hard work is worth it.

Anyways, I've decided to get a proper photo shoot for my upcoming character. Yuuki Asuna from Sword Art Online. This is my first time going for a photo shoot. Hope I will be able to produce good quality pictures because I really do not want to destroy the image of Asuna.

That's it for today,

Till next time~
